The ABIIC Project

The Abia State Government signed an Agreement with Acroideation International Ltd (ACI) on Monday 13 May, 2013 for Development of the Abia International Industrial City (ABIIC) Project – and the Operation and Management of same for the next thirty five (35) years .

The Project will consist of at least 68,692 units of Industrial Workshops and Warehouses; Commercial/Wholesale and Retail Units – as the ''Economic Core'' of the City, with a minimum of 1000 ''affordable'' residential units of different house typologies sitting on a total of 300 hectares landmass.

The proposed ABIIC project is located at Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area (LGA), about a kilometre to Aba town, in Abia state of Nigeria.


The PROTOTYPE BUILDING and INFRASTRUCTURE in the “AREA A” first phase of the project is planned to contain the following components but not limited to the construction of 1 km road from the Enugu, Aba, PortHarcourt Express road to the project site, site building - offices with land scapping within 2km radius, sample building and other requisite infrastructures.  It is expected that the project will be flagged off by a grand ''Ground Breaking Ceremony'' by the State Governor and the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Project when completed will also have an International Vocational Training Institute (IVTI) that will be fully equipped and managed by reputable and competent firms for students of Federal Universities of Technologies and Polytechnics etc. Other features will include but not limited to the following:

  • Show rooms
  • Warehouses/Expert Bay Warehouses
  • Multi-Purpose Halls
  • Chapels/Worship Centres
  • Banking Halls
  • Corporate Office Spaces
  • Hotels/Guest Houses
  • Restaurants/Food Cuts
  • Retail Shops
  • Industrial Shops/ Workshops ( 15,30,45,60) Square Meters
  • Ticketing Car Park/Bus Stations
  • Police Station/Out Post
  • Petrol Service Stations
  • Hospitals, Clinics and medical laboratory Centers
  • Fire Station
  • etc.

Consequently, upon approval of right of way between states, it is envisaged to have an Inter-City
Railway transport network from the Industrial City to the neighboring Air & SeaPorts. Especially, Imo Cargo Airport .
