“La Liga chief: Real Madrid, Barcelona can’t afford Mohamed Salah”

La Liga president  has spoken of the potentiality of Liverpool star  joining one of Spain giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in the upcoming summer, saying that he sees such a move unlikely.

Reports regarding Salah moving away from Liverpool have increased yet again and the Egyptian’s departure seems closer than ever.

A couple of months ago, Salah had talked about the possibility of leaving the Reds in the foreseeable future saying that ‘it’s all in the club’s hands’ in a recent interview with Spanish news outlet AS.

The Los Blancos were also among the club’s reportedly interested in signing Salah, along with arch rivals FC Barcelona.

“I don’t think it will be easy that Salah leaves England because of the lack of enough money in the current period for a player of his calibre,” Tebas told ON Time Sport.

“I definitely hope that he joins La Liga but I don’t expect big money transfers this summer,” he added.

Liverpool are close to ending what could be the club’s worst league finish under the German coach, which may actually lead Salah to look for offers elsewhere.

Despite the Reds struggles this season, Salah has been performing well, currently leading the race for the Golden Boot with 17 goals, ahead of Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (16).
