According to Footy Headlines, as reported by Sportsbrief, La Liga giants Barcelona are considering changing their club crest.

Carles Aguilar, a Catalan journalist, reported that the club is considering major changes to its crest in a bid to rebrand.

The new logo proposal is expected to be submitted in 2023 with the changes taking effect for the 2024-25 season.

The Barcelona logo was last updated two decades ago. Since then, many superstars such as Xavi, Iniesta and Lionel Messi have donned the famous striped shirt and won countless trophies for the Blaugrana.

Xavi’s team is currently at the top of the LaLiga table with 37 points from 14 games. They lead second-placed Real Madrid by two points heading into the 2022 FIFA World Cup break.
