Dwarf, he can’t read – former Barca boss, Ponti insult against Messi uncovered

It came to light how Barcelona’s former head of legal services, Roman Gomez Ponti, subjected Lionel Messi to vile insults at the Nou Camp.

Popular Spanish football newspaper Sport reports that the now PSG superstar has come under fire after he demanded that his weekly salary and that of Luis Suarez not be touched during the club’s financial crisis.

Sport has seized a series of Whatsapp messages exchanged between Barcelona’s former board, which revealed intense animosity towards the King of Argentine football.

Conversations also included Josep Maria Bartomeu, former CEO Oscar Grau and executives Jordi Moix, Oriol Tomas and David Bellver. Former CFO Pancho Schroder and Director of Strategy and Innovation Javier Sobrino also participated in the chats.

The board was furious after details of Messi’s contract were leaked with El Mundo and it sparked an uproar between them

Board members used the group chat to express their feelings, and there, Pontí unleashed a series of disrespectful comments against the 35-year-old star.

Messi spent most of his years playing for Barcelona, where he won numerous individual titles and awards and controversially left the club in 2020.

Ponti said Messi couldn’t read: “He can’t even read.” he said during the chat.

“And above all, the accumulation of blackmail and disrespect that the club and those of us who work at the club suffer from this hormonal dwarf who owes his life to Barcelona… ah!”

“But when things go wrong [pandemic] you get the mythical WhatsApp message: ‘presi, lower the salaries of others, but don’t touch me and Luis’. I hope he leaves amid the indifference of the people, which is the worst thing that can happen to him.”
