Olisa Ndah wins her first title with Orlando Pirates

Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah won his first silver medal with the South African team Orlando Pirates.

The defender, who moved to the rainbow nation after winning the NPFL title with Akwa United in 2021, secured his first title with the Buccaneers after they defeated AmaZulu 1-0 in the MTN 8 final on Saturday.

Pirates stunned defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final stage of the competition to book their place in the final showdown against AmaZulu.

In the hotly contested final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in front of a packed crowd, it was Monnapule Saleng who scored the only goal of the game via a sensational 25th-minute free kick.

Ndah, who was part of the Super Eagles team at the last African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, was present from start to finish.

After last season’s disappointment in the CAF Confederation Cup final, where Pirates lost on penalties to RS Berkane in Uyo, this win will be a great motivation for Ndah and his teammates for the rest of the season. the season.

Ndah has made 16 appearances for the Bucs this season in all competitions and hopes to have more games under his belt so he can see Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro in upcoming games.
