Robert Lewandowski is banned from LaLiga until 2023

Marca reported that Barcelona and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, 34, will miss the next three Spanish league games through suspension.

The competition committee ruled that Lewandowski will be sanctioned for making an offensive gesture to the referee. The Pole received his second yellow card in the 31st minute of LaLiga matchday 14 against Osasuna (2-1) and made a gesture to the referee on the way to the locker room.

Thus, Lewandowski will play his next match with Barcelona in 2023. The striker will miss the matches against Espanyol (December 31), Atlético de Madrid (January 8, 2023) and Betis (January 14, 2023).

Lewandowski will participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as part of the Poland team and will play the group stage against Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
