Son Heung-min ‘prepares’ for Tottenham transfer exit with Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich links

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is “preparing” a departure from the club for the next step in his career, according to recent reports. The South Korean international has impressed in recent years in North London, although he has had a slow start to the current campaign.

Last season was perhaps Son’s best, winning the Premier League Golden Boot with 23 goals – the most goals ever with Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah. In contrast, the 30-year-old scored just three goals early in the campaign, all against Leicester in a cameo on the bench.

“You know very well that we are talking about a very, very important player for me and for the club,” Antonio Conte said of the forward earlier this season. “I think Sonny, in the last three games, has had chances to score, but there’s a moment when you’re a little bit lucky or unlucky. I’m sure when he goes to score, he’ll gain the right confidence.”

Son has enjoyed seven successful years with the Lilywhites thus far, with last summer marking another contract extension to 2025. However, according to reports from German news outlet Sport1, the forward is now looking to move away from the club, despite your New Contract.

The report claims he is “preparing” the next steps, claiming that PSG, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid may try to sign him. They add that the latter are particularly interested, with boss Carlo Ancelotti monitoring a possible move by the South Korean star to the Bernabéu.

However, Tottenham are known to be tough negotiators, such as their stance to keep Harry Kane last summer despite the interest from Manchester City, which was followed by a very public saga. The England captain ended up staying, though time is dwindling on his contract.

As for Son, with his deal still having plenty of years left, it remains to be seen exactly what stance Spurs will take, though it will likely be a tough exit if there is one.
