Victor Osimhen is the fourth most prolific striker in Europe

Italy’s Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been ranked as the fourth most prolific striker in Europe’s top five leagues so far this season.

The Nigerian goalkeeper has scored seven goals in eight league games so far, averaging one goal every 93 minutes in Serie A, despite being out for five weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old is trailing Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe.

Norwegian striker Haaland, who joined the Premier League champions in a £51.5m deal, ranks as Europe’s most prolific striker so far this period, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Haaland scored 17 goals in his first 11 games in the EPL and averaged a goal every 55 minutes.

Barcelona’s Lewandowski is considered the second most prolific player in Europe, having scored 13 goals in 12 games.

The Polish international, who scores a goal every 73 minutes, shows his prowess in LaLiga.

In fifth place is Terem Moffi, who has scored eight goals in 12 Ligue 1 games.

The Nigerian international is averaging a goal every 108 minutes for Lorient, who occupy fourth place in the French top flight with 27 points from 13 games.

French striker Christopher Nkunku is in sixth place, having scored nine goals in 12 Bundesliga games, averaging one goal every 113 minutes.

Aleksandar Mitrovic of Fulham is seventh on the list.

The Serbian forward has averaged a goal every 114 minutes in the EPL so far this season. He scored nine times in 12 Premier League league games.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane is in eighth place, having scored 10 goals in 13 games, averaging a goal every 116 minutes.
